Appliances in the Winter
Helpful tips for appliances in the winter.
When the weather is cold outside please make sure you don't leave your appliances outside. If you must, make sure they warm up to room temperature before you plug them in.
Refrigerators in the Garages
~ Most refrigerators stop working at some point during the winter months in an unheated garage, depending on the climate and how well the garage is insulated. Most manufacturers do not recommend placing a refrigerator in temperatures below 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
WASHERS
~ Do not leave your washer in a unheated place. There is some water left in the pump that will freeze and crack your washer! Washers need to be at room temperature and leveled before you plug them in. Run 2 cycles with nothing in the washer before you wash your clothes.
